Job Description Scrum Master Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite) Duration: 6-Month Contract Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support multiple Agile delivery teams within a fast-paced technology environment. This role is heavily focused on delivery execution, release management, dependency management, and incident coordination while coaching teams across both Scrum and Kanban frameworks. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who can influence stakeholders, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and drive predictable delivery outcomes.

This individual will serve as a delivery leader, helping teams manage priorities, remove obstacles, coordinate releases, and maintain strong execution discipline. This position requires a highly organized professional who can support multiple teams simultaneously while leveraging Jira and Confluence reporting to provide meaningful delivery insights and transparency. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Support and coach up to three Agile teams operating in both Scrum and Kanban environments. Drive release management activities, ensuring successful planning, coordination, execution, and post-release validation. Manage and track cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers, and incidents.

Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, and stakeholders to align priorities, delivery commitments, and timelines. Ensure backlog readiness by validating priorities, dependencies, and sprint preparedness. Develop and maintain Jira dashboards, reports, and metrics to provide visibility into team performance and delivery progress.

Utilize JQL and reporting capabilities within Jira and Confluence to support weekly and ad hoc reporting needs. Monitor delivery metrics such as velocity, predictability, cycle time, and sprint performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Facilitate discussions and drive resolution of delivery challenges while maintaining team accountability.

Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase team efficiency and delivery effectiveness. Leverage AI-enabled tools where appropriate to improve workflow efficiency, user story generation, and requirements management. Serve as a trusted coach and mentor to teams while promoting Agile best practices and delivery excellence.

Required Qualifications 4-5+ years of Scrum Master experience supporting Agile delivery teams. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong experience with: Release Management Incident Management Dependency Management Experience supporting multiple Agile teams simultaneously.

Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence, including: Dashboard creation Reporting and metrics JQL queries Backlog management Ability to quantify and clearly communicate personal contributions and project impact. Proven ability to influence teams and stakeholders without direct authority.

Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills. Demonstrated tenure and stability in previous assignments. Preferred Qualifications Experience using AI-powered tools to improve delivery efficiency, user story creation, and requirements generation.

Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in financial services or regulated environments. Scrum certifications such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent.

Understanding of SDLC, release governance, and Agile delivery best practices. Technical Skills Jira Administration & Reporting JQL Query Development Confluence Reporting & Documentation Agile Delivery Metrics & Dashboards Scrum & Kanban Frameworks Release Planning & Coordination Incident & Dependency Management Work Environment Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Team members generally coordinate onsite schedules to maximize collaboration.

Standard business hours with no regular overtime expectations. Contractors are expected to support delivery activities during normal business hours while after-hours release support is primarily handled by full-time employees. Highly collaborative environment focused on communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
