Job description

Independent Sales Broker – Construction Implements (Nationwide Dealer Expansion)

Company

Bear Iron is a U.S.-based manufacturer of durable, non-motorized construction implements built for real-world jobsite use. Our products are designed for contractors, infrastructure crews, and field operations that demand reliability and simplicity.

We are expanding our retail presence and are focused on developing a nationwide dealer footprint through qualified retail and equipment partners.

Position Overview

Bear Iron is seeking an Independent Sales Broker to establish and grow relationships with retail sellers and equipment dealers across the United States. This role is responsible for opening new dealer channels, negotiating wholesale terms, and supporting repeat sales through a scalable retail network.

This is a commission-based, independent contractor (1099) role ideal for experienced sales professionals who understand dealer-based distribution and prefer autonomy with uncapped earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and onboard qualified retail sellers and equipment dealers nationwide

  • Support the development of a sustainable nationwide dealer network

  • Present Bear Iron construction implements to retail buyers and decision-makers

  • Broker wholesale pricing, dealer terms, and minimum order quantities in alignment with company guidelines

  • Build long-term dealer relationships that result in repeat wholesale orders

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Bear Iron and assigned retail partners

  • Support dealers with product knowledge, positioning, and reorder strategies

  • Provide market feedback related to pricing, demand, and competitive products

  • Represent Bear Iron at industry events, product demos, or trade shows as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, brokerage, or manufacturer representation

  • Background in construction equipment, industrial products, or building materials strongly preferred

  • Experience selling through retail, dealer, or distribution channels

  • Existing dealer or retail relationships are a strong plus

  • Comfortable operating independently and managing a national sales pipeline

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and closing skills

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on long-term partnerships

Compensation & Structure

  • Independent contractor (1099)

  • Commission-based compensation with uncapped earning potential

  • Commission structure based on sales volume and dealer performance

  • Territory scope and growth opportunities discussed with qualified candidates

  • No base salary — compensation is tied directly to results

Who This Role Is Best For

This opportunity is ideal for someone who:

  • Has experience opening doors with retail sellers or equipment dealers

  • Understands how construction products move through wholesale and retail channels

  • Wants flexibility, autonomy, and performance-based earnings

  • Is motivated by building something scalable, not just closing one-off deals

  • Is interested in helping establish a nationwide footprint for a growing manufacturer

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and include a brief description of your experience selling construction, industrial, or equipment-related products, along with any dealer or retail relationships you currently maintain.

Qualified candidates will be contacted to discuss territory scope, commission structure, and growth expectations.
