Job description

Inbound Supervisor

Location: Bensalem, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Salary: $60,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience
Reports To: Senior Operations Manager
Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried

About the Role

A&L Foods is looking for a hands-on Inbound Supervisor to lead our receiving, replenishment, and putaway operations at our Bensalem distribution center.

This is a player/coach role for someone who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, organizing the day’s workload, developing employees, solving problems, and making sure product moves efficiently from the receiving dock into the warehouse and is available when our outbound team needs it.

You’ll supervise our Receivers and Replenishers and work closely with the Shipping Supervisor and Senior Operations Manager to keep the entire operation running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and provide daily direction to the Receiving and Replenishment teams.
  • Build the daily plan for receiving, replenishment, and putaway based on inbound appointments and outbound needs.
  • Ensure inbound shipments are received accurately and on time.
  • Make sure product is properly received, labeled, stored, and put away promptly.
  • Prioritize replenishment so pick locations have the inventory needed for outbound orders.
  • Coordinate inbound dock appointments and dock activity with the Shipping Supervisor.
  • Monitor receiving discrepancies, damages, inventory issues, and product condition concerns.
  • Perform receiving duties as needed.
  • Ensure proper food safety and temperature-control procedures are followed when receiving refrigerated and frozen products.
  • Maintain a safe, organized receiving dock and warehouse work area.
  • Monitor adherence to company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
  • Train, coach, cross-train, and develop members of the inbound team.
  • Adjust labor and priorities throughout the day as operational needs change.
  • Communicate performance, attendance, safety, or operational concerns to the Senior Operations Manager.
What We’re Looking For
  • Warehouse, receiving, replenishment, or distribution experience.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Food, grocery, refrigerated, or frozen distribution experience is a plus.
  • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead employees while also being willing to jump in and help when needed.
  • Strong attention to inventory accuracy and product handling.
  • Comfortable working with warehouse systems and basic computer applications.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
What Success Looks Like

You’ll help create an inbound operation where product is received accurately, put away quickly, replenished when needed, and available for the outbound team—while developing a productive, accountable, and safety-focused warehouse team.

This position provides day-to-day supervision, coaching, training, and work direction. Hiring, termination, formal discipline, and compensation decisions remain with the Senior Operations Manager and company management.
