ABOUT ARCHER INSURANCE AGENCY

Were an established, owner-operated brokerage with offices in Farragut, TN and Westlake Village, CA a multi-carrier independent platform plus a captive relationship, with roughly $15M in premium across personal and commercial lines. Weve built the book, the pipeline, the systems, and the support staff. What we havent built yet is a real sales department. Thats where you come in.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a sell-first, build-and-lead role. You wont be starting from scratch a small sales team is already in place for you to lead and grow from day one. Youll carry your own production while you recruit, train, and develop that team across personal and commercial lines. Direct selling is heaviest early; as the team ramps, your leadership and your override income takes over. You report directly to the owner and have real room to build this your way.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOULL DO

Sell. Carry personal production from day one across personal and commercial lines.

Build. Recruit, onboard, and train new producers.

Lead. Install repeatable, documented sales systems pipeline, follow-up cadence, accountability.

Develop. Coach reps to consistent, independent production.

WHAT YOULL WORK WITH

An existing book and an established inbound pipeline

A multi-carrier independent platform plus a captive relationship

Dedicated CSR and renewals support so producers stay focused on selling

CRM, carrier portals, and full back-office infrastructure

A small sales team already in place real producers to lead from day one, not an empty org chart


Requirements

Active Tennessee Property & Casualty license

10+ years of insurance sales experience with a strong P&C component

A verifiable track record of building and developing a sales team

Someone who can still sell and genuinely wants to lead

Direct, accountable, and energized by building something for the long term

NICE TO HAVE

Experience across both personal and commercial lines

Recruiting and onboarding background

Independent-agency or multi-market carrier experience

Established referral partnerships (CPAs, bankers, real estate, dealerships)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$70,000+ base salary

Ramp draw during your initial build period

Uncapped monthly commission on your personal production

Override on everything your team writes

On-target earnings of $175,000$200,000+ as the team scales

401(k) with 3% employer contribution (after 1 year), 2 weeks PTO, 10 paid holidays, MondayFriday
