Overview
The Import/Export Coordinator supports the Customer Service and Logistics Department by overseeing day-to-day import and export activities of CGR (CG Railway LLC) to ensure compliant movements and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the import and export processes of CGR shipments.
  • Manifest shipments in the ACE interface.
  • Maintain email notices and communications with customers and customs brokers pertaining to shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, including customs regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all import/export transactions in accordance with record retention requirements
  • Monitor and track domestic and international shipments; proactively identify an d resolve shipping delays or customs clearance issues.
  • Field incoming customer requests via email and phone with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Prepare documentation related to dangerous goods.
  • Assist with audits, inquiries, or reviews related to shipping and trade compliance.
  • Coordinate cross-department efforts for proper invoicing
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager to support business and operational needs

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bilingual - Spanish / English
  • Five years of relevant experience working in import/export documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be motivated, detail-oriented and able to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision.
