Job description

The Sr. Implementation Project Manager is responsible for overall project management and support of client software implementation projects. The scope of this job includes managing overall project schedule by partnering with resource owners and executive sponsors to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with established goals and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage complex project schedules for large/enterprise clients, oversee daily operations, and make strategic revisions to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Regularly communicate with the project team, provide updates, identify potential risks, and lead project planning and status meetings.
  • Lead both project management and executive steering committee meetings to align client and WellSky teams and deliver concise executive-level reporting on project status and performance metrics.
  • Develop advanced knowledge of each client's business, organization, and objectives to drive improved project execution, generate leads for future sales, and support strategic outcomes.
  • Cultivate a strategic partnership with client project manager and project sponsor which will be instrumental in facilitating change management to ensure long term adoption of the solution.
  • Leverage methods and procedures to ensure consistent results, proactively identify process improvements, implement efficiency measures, and mentor new project managers by fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 8-12 years relevant work experience
  • Experience leading complex, enterprise-level software implementation projects with multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, change requests, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
  • Experience developing and managing project budgets, financial forecasts, resource plans, and overall project financial performance
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with executive stakeholders, facilitate steering committee meetings, and influence decisions across cross-functional teams
  • Strong change management skills with experience driving client adoption and organizational readiness during implementations
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex project information into clear, business-focused updates for executive and technical audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce or other project management and customer relationship management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze project metrics, identify opportunities for process improvement, and apply best practices to drive successful project delivery
  • Experience establishing project governance, maintaining RAID logs, managing project plans, and driving accountability across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Professional Services Automation (PSA), Certinia, or similar professional services management platforms
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve project planning, delivery efficiency, reporting, or workflow automation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant project management certification
  • Experience implementing healthcare technology solutions; blood management or transfusion software experience preferred
