Description: This position will be responsible for discipline management across the school. They will implement proactive and reactive discipline response and investigate and address code of conduct offenses. They will oversee student referrals and behavior.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Monitors and records data on or behavioral information for the purpose of measuring student progress, improving school policies, and reducing discipline referrals
  • Designs restorative practices/reparation/lessons/interventions with a goal of student learning
  • Collaborates with entire student suupport team for positive school climate, including bullying prevention and addressing behavioral distractions
  • Collaborates with administration to investigate and determine consequences for code of conduct violations
  • Proactively and reactively support students in common areas such as cafeteria/playground
  • Bus Behavior Oversight including proactive and reactive bus behavior management, creating systems, tracking referrals, parent communication, working with bus drivers to increase positive bus behavior

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field
  • Licensure: Holds a Delaware state license in related field (or is eligible)
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience as well as experience with behavior management, discipline coordination (proactive and reactive)
