Hanwha Qcells designs, builds, and manages financially sustainable solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions. Please note: This role is onsite in Cartersville, GA. 
 
SUMMARY 
 
The Legal Counsel role will be responsible for providing in-house legal advice and guidance on a wide range of corporate matters, with a focus on immigration and global mobility. The Legal Counsel reports to the Sr. Legal Counsel.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Provide legal support and guidance to the business team and management on a variety of legal issues. 
  • Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of U.S. and global immigration law, including visa petitions, green cards, and naturalization.
  • Manage and oversee the company's immigration program, ensuring compliance with USCIS, Department of Labor (DOL), and Department of State regulations.
  • Counsel human resources and management on a wide variety of  immigration-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Provide supervision to outside lawyers hired to assist the company with their specialized legal services.
  • Design, build, and improve legal team processes.
  • Consult and protect Qcells against legal risks, penalties, and investigations.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or an equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
  • A member in good standing with a state bar association. 
  • 3+ years of experience as in-house counsel or at a law firm (or a combination of both).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bilingual (Korean & English).
  • Experience in the solar industry, energy sector, or manufacturing industry.
