As a Community Program Coordinator with West Hollowell Community Initiative, you'll play a vital role in shaping innovative initiatives that empower and uplift our Atlanta community. West Hollowell Community Initiative: Who We Are

West Hollowell Community Initiative was created to function as the community quarterback focused on the revitalization of West Hollowell's Areas of Investment and Areas of Impact. Our organization will be an essential part of a holistic neighborhood revitalization effort. West Hollowell Community Initiative will work in tandem with the City of Atlanta West Hollowell Project Manager to co-manage the revitalization effort. Our goal is to convene partners and resources as well as ensure that neighborhood residents are centered in setting the strategy to bring the community's vision to life.

your role as a community program coordinator

In the Community Program Coordinator role at West Hollowell Community Initiative, you will spearhead the development and management of community programs designed to foster connection and engagement, such as working group meetings, an anti-displacement campaign, and community BBQs. You will coordinate event logistics, track attendance and impact metrics, and monitor program budgets to ensure effective resource allocation. Your communication talents will shine as you manage all external communications, including website updates, social media campaigns, a monthly newsletter, and promotional materials that align with our mission and brand. Building strong partnerships with residents, local organizations, and city agencies will be essential, as you conduct targeted outreach and advocate for community needs. Additionally, you'll facilitate Working Group meetings, serve as the primary contact for stakeholders, and document program progress for leadership and collaborators, all while contributing to meaningful community change in Atlanta.

What we're looking for in a COMMUNITY Program Coordinator

To thrive as a Community Program Coordinator at West Hollowell Community Initiative, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field, accompanied by 2-3 years of experience in community program coordination or a similar role.
