Work Environment

This role is remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a high level of engagement with clients and team members. Our community health clinic is equipped with advanced telehealth technologies and resources to facilitate effective virtual counseling sessions. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, ensuring integrated care that addresses both immediate and long-term needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to accurately evaluate their mental health and emotional state, tailoring interventions accordingly.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique goals, leveraging evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Facilitate various therapeutic sessions, including individual counseling, family therapy, and group workshops, to foster interpersonal skills and promote community support.
• Monitor and assess clients' progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to maximize effectiveness.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, ensuring clients receive timely and appropriate assistance during critical situations.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure clients receive holistic treatment and support.
• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mental health treatment to enhance clinical practices and offer cutting-edge care.
• Participate in continuous professional development through training, supervision, and peer consultation.
• Uphold and adhere to the ethical guidelines established by relevant licensing boards and organizations, ensuring the highest professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center serves a broad range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health challenges. You will engage with clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational conflicts. By providing culturally competent care and specialized treatments tailored to individual circumstances, you will help empower clients to overcome obstacles and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW).
• Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build rapport and navigate complex emotional dynamics.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a commitment to client well-being.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of ethical guidelines and laws governing mental health practice.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling or a related area is required.
