Position Overview

Silverwood Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote role. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to understand the mental health status of each client.
• Design individualized therapy programs that include cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and other proven therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings, providing support and practical strategies to help clients cope with their challenges.
• Proactively build therapeutic relationships that encourage open dialogue and trust, ensuring clients feel safe to discuss their concerns.
• Serve as a liaison to other professionals in the healthcare field, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in the EHR system.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and share insights that could enhance patient care.
• Stay current with developments in mental health through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As part of Silverwood's mission, you will engage with clients from various backgrounds, including those struggling with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Our patient population is diverse, requiring a culturally sensitive approach to therapy. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• Deep understanding of various mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches based on client needs.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, enabling you to respond effectively in high-stress situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering rapport with clients and their families, while displaying empathy and compassion.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems to manage patient information effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and setting appropriate boundaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a unified approach to client care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with tele-health services and electronic documentation.
• Previous work with marginalized populations or individuals from varied cultural backgrounds.
• Skill in group therapy facilitation and development of group curricula.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.

Compensation and Benefits
