Job description

Be part of our 10-week Life Actuarial Internship where you will apply knowledge gained through your college courses, enhance your actuarial foundation and gain insight into the reinsurance industry. The internship will be based in our Nashville, TN office and will run from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027.

What You Will Do:

Our life actuarial interns will obtain core technical actuarial knowledge and professional skills through meaningful actuarial work that has an immediate and integral impact on the business. They will learn directly from senior management, attend classes on various aspects of the business, have opportunities for volunteerism, and enjoy networking events with colleagues of all levels and functions.

What You Will Have:

Fortitude Re seeks rising seniors who will graduate between November 2027 and June 2028. You must have passed at least two actuarial exams under the Society of Actuaries at time of application.

Candidates must be available to work in Nashville for all 10-weeks of the program. In addition to competitive compensation, relocation assistance will be provided if the candidate is not currently based in or around Nashville.

The competitive candidate will have demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possesses strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills, and is enthusiastic about the actuarial profession.
