Job description

Highgate Logistics is contracting independent box truck carriers for IKEA home delivery out of Bolingbrook, IL.

We're a last-mile logistics company running white-glove furniture delivery across the Chicago–Milwaukee corridor. We're adding contract carriers with their own trucks and crews to run daily routes originating at IKEA Bolingbrook.

This is a carrier contract, not an employee position. You run your own truck, your own crew, and your own business. We provide consistent daily volume, a defined route territory, and weekly settlements.

What the work looks like

Load out at IKEA Bolingbrook, start times around 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM

residential stops per route across the Chicago metro Indiana

Threshold and White-glove service: room-of-choice placement, no set up or install required. Just a clean and neat delivery.

Returns and hallways as needed

Two-person crew on every truck — driver plus helper

Routes are pre-built and sequenced; you get your manifest the night before

Most routes complete in 8-12 hours

What you need to run with us

Equipment

16'- 20’ box truck with liftgate, under 26,000 lbs. GVWR (non-CDL)

Must be able to carry 3,200 KG

Clean, unmarked or professionally lettered — no damaged panels or visible rust

E-track and straps, moving blankets, four-wheel dolly and appliance dolly

Truck year 2015 or newer preferred

Authority and insurance

Active MC/DOT operating authority in good standing

Auto liability: $1,000,000

Cargo coverage: $100,000

General liability: $1,000,000

Workers' comp or occupational accident coverage for you and your crew (preferred). We also offer workers’ comp through OpenForce.

Certificate of insurance naming Highgate Logistics LLC as additional insured and certificate holder

W-9 on file

Crew

Every driver and helper passes a background check, MVR review, and drug screen

Comfortable handling furniture in customer homes — this is a customer-facing job, not a dock-to-dock run

Great customer service and professional attire (Black pants, Black shirt, safety vests.

Smartphone with data for the delivery app and photo proof of delivery and tracking

Standards

All loads run on your own equipment with your own crew. No re-brokering, no subcontracting to a third carrier.

We deliver under IKEA's IWAY supplier code of conduct — safe, legal, professional operation is non-negotiable, and we audit for it.

What you get

Consistent, year-round volume — not a load board

$500-$650 per route,

Weekly settlements by ACH, Friday pay for the prior week

A named dispatcher, not a call center

Same territory and same routes so your crew gets fast at them

Room to add trucks as we expand across the Chicago–Milwaukee corridor

How to apply

Apply through Indeed with your company name, MC number, and how many trucks you can put in service. We'll send you the carrier packet and get you on a call within [48 hours].
