We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong SAP and IFRS experience to support accounting operations within our North American business units.


Your Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, SAP integrity, and compliance with ANDRITZ Group accounting policies and IFRS standards. This role partners closely with business unit controllers, auditors, and global finance teams.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & SAP

  • Maintain working knowledge of all core accounting functions
  • Perform monthly reconciliation between SAP FI and CO modules
  • Reconcile key General Ledger accounts accurately and on time
  • Provide backup support for Vendor and Customer Master Data setup

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with ANDRITZ Group accounting policies and IFRS standards
  • Support IFRS 16 lease accounting, including implementation and ongoing compliance
  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly intercompany confirmations
  • Assist with yearend close and annual financial audits, including coordination with external auditors and business unit controllers

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Manage daily accounting correspondence with focus on deadlines and continuous improvement
  • Support ad hoc accounting and reporting requests as directed by management
  • Partner effectively with international business units and crossfunctional teams
  • Contribute to process optimization in SAPdriven accounting environments

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Minimum 5 years of handson SAP ERP experience (FI/CO required)
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes in manufacturing or project environments
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills (English)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Manufacturing and/or project accounting experience
  • International business exposure and foreign currency experience
  • IFRS reporting experience
