Job description

Description: To provide Speech and Language services to students

  1. Provide service to children in grades Early Childhood through 8th grade with identified speech/language needs
  2. Undertake assessments and screenings, provide speech and/or language observations and evaluations as part of a Case Study Evaluation, and provide referrals.
  3. Plan and provide appropriate treatment/speech and language therapy; monitor and report progress.
  4. Write reports and attend annual reviews for IEP compliance within timelines of state and federal guidelines.
  5. Collaborate, consult, and support Special Services Team Members, Classroom Teachers, and other staff members, as appropriate.

  
 

Qualifications:

  • Must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Speech/Language Pathology Certificate.  A Master's Degree is required.
