Job Title: Electrical Controls Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Controls Technician, where you'll have the opportunity to work on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems that ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. If you are passionate about automation and technical problem-solving, we encourage you to apply and become part of our innovative organization.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with control equipment and software to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize control processes.
  • Document system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Assist in the commissioning and start-up of new control systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all activities.
  • Operate at the level of an apprentice with a sense of urgency to learn on all electrical and electronic issues.
  • Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify programming on production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems with assistance as needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Comply with company safety, quality, standard operating procedures (SOP), and HACCP guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and electronics.
  • Experience with control systems, PLCs, and industrial environments.
  • Ability to inspect, maintain, program, modify, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems modules and devices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Blueprint reading
  • Installation and hydraulics knowledge
  • PLC troubleshooting, VFD, HMI experience
