To thrive as an IEP Coach, you need in-depth knowledge of special education law, experience developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and a degree in education or a related field. Familiarity with education management systems, data tracking tools, and, in some cases, certification in special education is highly valuable. The work is both consultative and hands-on, requiring flexibility as you move between coaching sessions, document review, and problem-solving with team members.
