Job description

Opportunity:
Propel Schools is seeking an Head Middle School Track Coach for the 26-27 season starting this spring:
  • Propel Braddock Hills Middle School
  • Propel East
  • Propel Hazelwood
  • Propel Montour Middle School
  • Propel Homestead

Successful candidates will have:
  • Prior high school, middle school, and/or youth track coaching experience
  • Preferred candidates will have student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level, prior middle school coaching experience, & USATF certification
  • Responsibility for assembling coaching staff
  • Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
  • Responsibility for supporting the Middle School's track program with the assistant coach, athletic director and other coaching staff
  • High level of personal organization and planning
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
  • A commitment to the Propel Habits

Season Information:
  • The 2026-2027 Middle School Track Season is scheduled to begin in and is anticipated to begin in April and conclude in May, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason.
  • This position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,750. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.

  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance
  • Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter Training
