Reports To: Director of Estimation and Business Development
Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000
Position Summary:
You will be part of the Estimating Department that will provide the Sales Division with support by performing proposal preparation and in-depth analysis of engineering and design.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare technical quotations for Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear projects by analyzing project requirements and associated costs.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates by collecting and evaluating raw material, labor, equipment, and tooling costs.
  • Identify, assess, and quantify cost uncertainties to ensure comprehensive and reliable costing models.
  • Update estimates and pricing based on project scope changes, revised specifications, and new information.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams throughout the quotation process.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, bid documents, and RFQs to develop accurate proposals.
  • Prepare and submit quotation packages and proposals in response to customer RFQs.
  • Obtain and provide pricing for buyout items from approved vendor partners as requested by the Sales team.
  • Analyze RFQ documentation and summarize key requirements, risks, and project details for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Sales team by communicating critical project information and ensuring quotation accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience electrical equipment manufacturing
  • Experience in reading single line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications
  • Expert knowledge of LV/MV switchgear
  • Experience with technical proposals & quotations in electrical equipment manufacturing
  • Excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills are a must
  • Intermediate knowledge with automation & control and metering solutions
  • Travel will be required during on-boarding and training periods. This period will last 3-6 months and require up to 25% travel during that time.
