Job Summary:
NEOGOV is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT System Analyst to support and enhance critical enterprise applications across the organization. The role involves analyzing complex business needs, developing effective technical solutions, and communicating these solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with County departments to analyze business needs, gather requirements, and deliver effective application and reporting solutions.
• Administer and enhance the Cognos reporting environment, including developing, testing, and implementing custom reports and queries.
• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot ERP systems, IBM iSeries, and .NET applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and system enhancements to improve efficiency and automate business processes.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, coordinate upgrades/patches with vendors, and train users by translating technical concepts into clear, practical guidance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4+ years of managing IT applications across the full cycle design, development, deployment, and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cognos (administration, custom report development, and reporting server management) or comparable business intelligence tools.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to multitask, stay organized, and highly motivated.
