Job Title: Data Warehouse Architect
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-12 Months
Job Description:
• Supports the installation of database software and migrations to new data management system software levels, and tests the migrations to ensure data reliability and functionality.
• Analyzes, designs, modifies, and maintains database structures.
• Designs and implements procedures necessary to save, retrieve, and recover databases from hardware and software failures.
• Establishes and implements database security controls and user access levels.
• Evaluates and recommends database software packages for potential acquisition.
• Prepares and develops database documentation, procedures, and definitions for data dictionaries.
• Performs logical and physical data modeling, designs relational database models, and creates physical data models from logical data models.
• Performs database performance monitoring and implements efficiency improvements.
• Assists in modifying existing databases and database management systems.
• Assists in developing standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures designed to ensure the integrity of the database environment.
Required Skills:
• 5 years of strong knowledge of database management systems, as well as data warehouse management and decision support tools
• 5 years of extensive experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of data warehouses and data marts is desired
• 5 years of experience in business objects and in building the data dictionary
• 5 years of experience ability to use data base access tools for application delivery
• 5 years of experience with strong familiarity with analysis, planning and management reporting functions
• 5 years experience with well-developed oral and written communications skills
• 5 years of strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• 5 years of extremely high level of analytical ability where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult
• 5 years of understanding of benchmarking processes and techniques
• 5 years of very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output
• 5 years of Data Warehousing data population and data modeling techniques for target structures such as Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and highly normalized data models
• 5 years of GUI based ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM WebSphere DataStage, or similar tools.
• 5 years of implementation experience with enterprise-class databases, e.g., Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, etc., or similar technologies. Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, etc. or similar technologies.

• 5 years of Implementation experience with analytical and reporting tools e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy or similar tools.
• 5 years with excellent analytical, problem-solving, team-playing, and oral and written communication skills.
• 5 years of proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Skills:
• 5 years of Oracle Database experience.
• 5 years with SSRS report creation.
• 1 year with M204 database experience.
