Junior HVAC Estimator Position Summary


Albemarle Heating & Air is seeking a Junior HVAC Estimator to join our Residential New Construction (NCR) team. This position works directly under the NCR Manager, providing estimating and administrative support for residential design-build projects. The Junior HVAC Estimator will assist with preparing estimates, reviewing residential construction plans, maintaining project documentation, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the NCR department. While there are opportunities to learn residential HVAC system design, the primary focus of this role is estimating, project coordination, and administrative support. The
position works alongside and supports the Senior Designer & Estimator.


Junior HVAC Estimator Primary Responsibilities


· Assist with preparing accurate estimates for residential new construction HVAC projects.
· Review residential construction plans and specifications to gather information for estimating.
· Perform digital plan takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu.
· Enter and maintain estimates, customer information, and project documentation in ServiceTitan.
· Support the Senior Designer & Estimator with project preparation and estimating tasks.
· Assist with residential HVAC system layouts and design work as experience and training progress.
· Organize project files and maintain accurate estimating records.
· Coordinate with builders, vendors, and internal team members to obtain project information.
· Perform general administrative duties that support the Residential New Construction department.
· Complete additional estimating and project support tasks as assigned by the NCR Manager.


Junior HVAC Estimator Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of HVAC, construction, estimating, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of residential HVAC systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with construction plans and digital documents.
  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the NCR Manager and Senior Designer & Estimator
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Clean motor vehicle report and background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Authorized to work in the US for any employer
