Our Project Estimator is essential to the success of our company in securing projects through competitive pricing of our work. Your daily tasks include outlining job specifications, building the bid, developing options, creating bid proposals and procuring equipment and parts. Further, you maintain organized and detailed job orders for our crew leaders to help ensure projects go smoothly. Being personable and positive, you effectively connect with others you work with, as well as with clients and vendors who contract with us. Ultimately, we rely on your knowledge and expertise to secure jobs and further promote the success of our business!

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Able to provide a systematic approach to the sizing of equipment and designing systems
  • Provide estimates for commercial projects that are construction, retrofits or repairs
  • Review construction plans and specifications and generate quotations for material and labor for light and commercial HVAC project and service repairs
  • Promote and support sales and services of HVAC equipment delivering unparalleled service to internal sales groups and external customers.
  • Ability to take-off lists of material from construction drawings
  • Price equipment lists using manufacturer pricing software/data
  • Experience in procuring HVAC Equipment
  • Interactive collaborations and communications with Business Owners, Sales, factory representatives and customer personnel to facilitate a timely, accurate and strategic quotation.
  • Attend Pre-Bid Meeting / Walk-Through / Survey / Management of Projects to Completion
  • Ability to focus and concentrate in a deadline driven environment.
  • Physical Requirements: mobility in an office and job site environment, sitting at a workstation for much of the day, typing, visual acuity to view a computer monitor.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience with HVAC Estimating with project size up to $1Million
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or demonstrated equivalent experience in related HVAC Field)
  • Experience with Public projects and Commercial projects
  • HVAC, Plumbing and Piping Experience
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Good time management, verbal and written communication skill
  • Attention to details

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:

  • Sugar Land, TX 77498 (Required)
