Injection Molding Technician

Location: Quintex Molding, LLC – Caldwell, IdahoJob Type: Full-Time - Night Shift

Quintex Molding, LLC is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician to join our manufacturing team. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude who can safely perform mold changes, troubleshoot processing issues, and help maintain efficient production while producing high-quality parts.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mold changes safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and start injection molding machines.
  • Connect and verify water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical mold connections.
  • Optimize machine settings to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot molding defects and process-related issues.
  • Verify first-piece inspections and assist Quality with production approvals.
  • Monitor production runs and make process adjustments as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on molds and auxiliary equipment.
  • Complete setup documentation and production records accurately.
  • Support machine operators and provide technical assistance during production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum of 2 years of injection molding experience.
  • Experience performing mold changes and machine startups.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to read setup sheets, work instructions, and basic technical drawings.
  • Commitment to quality and safety.
Preferred
  • Experience with process optimization and cycle time improvement.
  • Knowledge of scientific molding principles.
  • Experience with hot runner systems.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Familiarity with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Work safely around industrial machinery.
