Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist supports the delivery of core Human Resources programs and services by partnering with HR leadership and department stakeholders. This role serves as a liaison between Human Resources and business units to support day-to-day operations, employee inquiries, and HR initiatives, including onboarding, training, employee relations, and compensation support. The Human Resources Specialist contributes to process improvement, ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and supports a positive employee experience across the organization. 

This position is a hybrid position and is on-site in Franklin, TN 2 days a week.
Essential Functions

  • Partners with Human Resources leadership to support projects, process improvements, and implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison between Human Resources and department leadership to support daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, training, and employee development.
  • Responds to and resolves employee and leader inquiries by interpreting policies, procedures, and applicable guidelines.
  • Supports employee relations activities by assisting with investigations, documentation, and resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Assists with compensation-related processes, including review and coordination of offers, transfers, and promotions in alignment with established guidelines.
  • Develops and delivers training sessions on Human Resources topics such as employee relations, career development, and organizational policies.
  • Reviews and analyzes data, including new hire and exit survey feedback, to identify trends and recommend improvements to employee experience and retention.
  • Maintains compliance with Human Resources programs and processes, including preparing reports, supporting I-9/E-Verify processing, tracking required documentation, and maintaining HR systems and resources.
  • Serves as a resource for employee questions related to benefits, policies, job postings, and general HR processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources or related field required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret policies and apply them to employee and business situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic analytical skills with the ability to review data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency with HR systems and standard office software applications.

Licenses and Certifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
