POSITION SUMMARY: Penske Transportation Solutions, the leader in the transportation industry, has an exciting opportunity to leverage your strong project management skills and passion for people while supporting organizational growth. As a Human Resources Project Manager with a focus on growth, you will be empowered to facilitate and manage HR activity related to growth across the business. You will work with a team of collaborative HR professionals to manage the flow of work and ensure critical timelines are met across benefits, compensation, staffing, HRIS, HR operations, labor relations, and payroll.

Your successful management of these significant and complex projects will make a positive impact on associates and contribute to the overall success of the business. As our work in Human Resources increases in complexity and our associate population grows, effective project management and communication is critical to our success. In addition to successfully managing multiple projects, you will be responsible for collaborating with our HR Communications Team to deliver tailored communications that are in alignment with the style and framework by which we communicate with associates.

If you are an HR Professional who possesses strong critical thinking skills and has prior project experience, or if you have served in a Project Management role at Penske or in another organization we are interested in talking to you. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: โ€ข Manage and lead HR projects, programs, and initiatives, including the planning, execution, monitoring and control of defined initiatives. โ€ข Collaborate with multiple levels within the organization to evaluate customer and business requirements.

โ€ข Consult with Senior Management and propose expanded initiatives that align with existing work that will better meet the needs of the organization. โ€ข Lead cross-functional teams at all levels to successful completion or project goals. โ€ข Present final recommendations and project outcomes to senior management.

โ€ข Institute measures to monitor HR processes. โ€ข Collaborate with the other HR Project Managers where appropriate in order to create consistencies in project management processes and applications. โ€ข Other projects and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: โ€ข Experience leading/managing projects and project teams is required; formal training in this area is a plus โ€ข Extremely strong communication skills, including oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills and meeting facilitation skills โ€ข Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Visio and Project experience a plus โ€ข Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail โ€ข Green Belt /Black Belt skills and certification a plus โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree required โ€ข HR experience a plus โ€ข Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. โ€ข Willingness to travel, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background verification (to include past employment and education) are required. PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS: -The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
