Position Summary: Responsible for the overall strategic direction and administration of the human resource function.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Hires, motivates, trains, coaches, mentors, and directs staff to ensure that Team Members receive leadership, guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
  • Ensures that all regulatory compliance data collection, reporting, submissions, and audits are completed as required within the HR function; and that all Federal, State, and Local statutes are followed as relates to Human Resources.
  • Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
  • Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
  • Advises operating departments in matters including, but not limited to, compensation and benefits, Team Member engagement, relations, mentorship, coaching and training.
  • Consults with management on issues pertaining to policy execution and Team Member conduct to ensure the safeguarding and fulfillment of company values, beliefs and mission according to established objectives.
  • Develops Team Member programs to provide motivation, Team Member satisfaction and incentive to elevate the casino culture of hospitality and excitement.
  • Evaluates systems utilized by Human Resources department to ensure maximize deficiencies results.
  • Develops and implements Team Member training programs.
  • Represents the company in the local community through volunteering for local non-profit and community projects.
  • Evaluates and reviews the Company suite of employee benefit offerings, and offers suggestions to executive management on improvements and efficiencies.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Reviews the work activities of subordinate employees to ensure that work is being performed within the standards established by management.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly in person, in writing, by telephone, and email to a diverse range of audiences.
  • Take on and manage various projects as assigned in order to aid in achievement of evolving company goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to travel to all Company properties.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, with study concentration in human resource management.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Human Resources management. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Thorough knowledge of all State and Federal employment laws and regulations. Diverse and in-depth knowledge of the following areas of Human Resources: employment, training, compensation, benefits and Team Member relations.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, risk management and labor relations helpful.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and indemnifications requisite to the successful completion of all essential responsibilities.
  • Must meet or exceed all regulatory conditions stipulated for individuals holding this or similar positions.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels, and varied light levels, including flashing lights.

Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
