We’re looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to our team who’s equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on doer. This role is all about relationships, results, and real impact. If you love solving problems, building culture, and making HR feel human, this opportunity is for you.

What You’ll Do

Employee Relations

  • Serve as the first point of contact for team members and manager questions on policy interpretation, performance concerns, and workplace conflict.
  • Conduct or support routine employee relation investigations, document findings, and recommend resolutions.
  • Coach front-line managers on handling performance conversations, corrective action, and documentation.
  • Escalate complex, high-risk, or legally sensitive matters to the HR Manager promptly, with a clear summary of facts and recommended next steps.
  • Support consistent application of policy and disciplinary action across all PFS Co. locations.

Recruitment Support

  • Serve as backup and overflow support to the Talent Acquisition Specialist, stepping in on sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, or offer coordination during peak volume or capacity gaps.

  • Partner with hiring managers on job description accuracy and interview prep as needed.

  • Assist with recruiting-related administrative tasks (posting, candidate communication, as directed by the Talent Acquisition Specialist.

HR Compliance & Risk

  • Administer leave programs (FMLA, ADA accommodation requests, state-specific leave laws) across all locations.

  • Monitor and help operationalize changes in federal, state, and local employment law relevant to PFS Co. locations.

  • Support audits (internal and external) of personnel files, I-9’s, and other compliance documentation.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with the HR Team on miscellaneous projects.

  • Provide input on policy updates, handbook revisions, and process improvements based on frontline trends.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred; combination of education and experience considered.

  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in human resources, including employee relations and recruiting preferred.

  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee data.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements as they relate to wellness/health program data.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record according to the PFS Co. Driver Safety Policy.
