Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Human Resources (HR) Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support while also helping to drive multiple HR related processes, programs, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to accomplish tasks quickly, yet efficiently and accurately, in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Comply with State and Federal legal regulations, Integra Resources and Florida Canyon Mine’s Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for entering HRIS system transactions; follow up on approval processes and take action when required.
  • Regularly audit HRIS system entries to ensure accuracy; report needed corrections.
  • Assist with recruiting, sourcing, and onboarding of employees including pre-employment screening, tracking, and follow-up. Set up new hires in HRIS system, conduct new hire orientation training, complete other onboarding activities, and respond to new hire inquiries, as needed.
  • Create and distribute employee communications including monthly newsletters, social media posts, recruiting materials, printed advertisements, radio communications, internal posters, flyers, etc.
  • Assist with the administration of company benefits and respond to benefits inquiries pertaining to plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Assist with company event planning.
  • Oversee employee recognition programs.
  • Handle core HR process tasks by running reports, scheduling meetings, following up on action items, entering data, and analyzing metrics.
  • Lead HR project work to improve HR services and oversee employee recognition programs.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field, highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in the mining industry, with human resources or other related responsibilities, required.
  • Experience using social media, creating presentations and other communications, and overseeing the design and production of print materials, preferred.
  • Proficiency with Paycor (HRIS); knowledge of core HCM, time amp; attendance, and onboarding/off-boarding modules, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of all facets of human resources including: compensation and benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and training and development programs, required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, required
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, required
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills with employees at all levels, required.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting work priorities efficiently, required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, required
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately, required
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment, required
  • Ability to adapt to changes with minimal interruption to output, required
