Job description

HumCap's client is looking for a Cognitive Performance Specialist (CPS) to support optimal aircrew performance through advanced mental training strategies. This role is responsible for delivering customized cognitive enhancement instruction as part of the CRAFT program and supporting the planning, execution, and ongoing validation of a human performance program at an assigned site. The CPS will also integrate cognitive methodologies into a broader interdisciplinary performance framework.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver cognitive performance training aligned with established Human Performance curriculum
  • Conduct assessments and recommend strategies to enhance aircrew readiness and mission effectiveness
  • Support research initiatives and instructional content development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support performance objectives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sport Science, or a related field with a specialization in Sport Psychology or similar discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing cognitive performance training in high-performance environments (e.g., military, collegiate or professional athletics, aerospace, or similar man–machine settings)
  • Current CPR and AED certification
  • Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one (T3 background investigation required)
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain a Secret clearance
