Sales Operations Manager

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sales Operations Manager who will be responsible for leading Inside Sales and Customer Service operations while driving process excellence, CRM effectiveness, sales analytics, lead management, quoting discipline, and revenue growth support. This role serves as the operational backbone of the sales organization by managing customer service personnel, inside sales representatives, lead-management processes, sales reporting, forecasting support, and HubSpot CRM administration.

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with hands-on experience in customer service, inside sales, CRM management, data quality, and business analytics. This individual will ensure timely customer response, accurate sales information, consistent CRM usage, clean opportunity tracking, and continuous improvement across the sales administration process.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable the Inside Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Establish department goals, KPI expectations, workflow standards, and service-level expectations.
  • Manage daily sales administration activities, quote support workflows, reporting rhythms, and process documentation.
  • Monitor sales pipeline activity, quote-to-order conversion, lead progression, open opportunities, and customer follow-up.
  • Prepare sales reports and support leadership with forecasting, planning, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for HubSpot CRM.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, workflows, dashboards, reports, forms, pipelines, task views, and automation where appropriate.
  • Train employees on proper HubSpot usage, including tracking emails, logging activity, creating tasks, updating deals, and using templates or snippets.
  • Oversee customer service activities, including customer inquiries, order status requests, issue escalation, and complaint resolution coordination.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Accounting, and Product Management to improve communication, customer response, reporting accuracy, and process effectiveness.
  • Develop and support lead intake, assignment, qualification, follow-up, and closure processes.
  • Identify recurring customer or process issues and recommend improvements that increase speed, accuracy, sales effectiveness, and customer responsiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, Sales Operations, or a related leadership role.
  • Minimum of three years of staff management or team leadership experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with HubSpot CRM, including contact, company, and deal management; tasks; activity tracking; dashboards; reports; templates; and workflow concepts.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems in a business-to-business or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Product Management.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in manufacturing, electrical products, industrial distribution, or contractor supply channels.
  • HubSpot Sales Hub certification or equivalent practical CRM administration experience.
  • Experience aligning CRM, ERP, Outlook, marketing platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, advanced Excel dashboards, or similar reporting tools.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or business process documentation experience.
