EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/wk
SCHEDULED HOURS: Negotiable
PROGRAM/LOCATION: Adult Outpatient Program, Manchester, CT

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:Adult Outpatient Program
The Adult Outpatient services provide psychiatric & substance abuse diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Services include assessment, consultation, individual, couples, group, family treatment and medication evaluation and monitoring.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prescribes medications as indicated in agency policies and procedures under the direction and supervision of the agency MD.
  • Direct Treatment Services.
  • Provides treatment services consistent with those authorized by payors and agency clinical standards and guidelines.
  • Provide direct clinical services to clients, which may include; psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, ongoing treatment as well as crisis planning and response.
  • Provides addiction services and treatment including diagnosis of substance use disorders, assessment of withdrawal symptoms, initiation and titration of evidence-based medication management for opioid, alcohol, tobacco, and other substance use disorders for both withdrawal and maintenance management, and evaluation of other risk factors and comorbidities.
  • Provides education and resources for overdose prevention when deemed relevant
  • Orders and reviews appropriate lab work, EKGs, or outside medical records as appropriate
  • Administer medications including oral, intranasal, intramuscular injection, subcutaneous injectable when necessary, according to policy.
  • Prioritize same-day or walk-in psychiatric evaluations or addiction medicine consults when available
  • Maintain positive working relationships with community health organizations and outside medical services to ensure coordination of client care.
  • Provide training and consultation to staff as indicated.
  • Develop programs and psycho-educational interventions for clients across the agency on issues such as wellness, side effects, health, etc.
  • Participates in case conferences/consultations, as required, and in team meetings and training as needed.
  • Makes comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments of client and develops focus of treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: APRN
Experience: 5 years' experience in adult or child mental health. Community mental health and/or addiction treatment experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: CT APRN license and RN license; CT CSP license; and DEA number

COMPENSATION*:
$122,872.88/yr minimum, and up commensurate upon experience.
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of a strict calculation process, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
