What is an HR generalist trainee?

An HR Generalist Trainee is an entry-level professional who assists with a broad range of human resources functions while gaining practical experience and training. Their responsibilities typically include supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. As trainees, they work under the guidance of experienced HR professionals to learn about company policies, labor laws, and best HR practices. To thrive as an HR Generalist Trainee, you need a solid understanding of HR fundamentals, employment laws, and organizational policies, typically supported by a relevant degree or coursework in human resources or business administration.
