Description

The Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Business Unit strategic plan, with a strong emphasis on sales incentive design, administration, and performance reporting across Retail Branch and Business Banking. This role translates executive vision into measurable objectives, leads annual incentive plan design, and ensures effective execution through robust analytics and governance.

Primary responsibilities include

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Translate executive strategy into clear, measurable objectives and actionable initiatives
  • Establish and manage frameworks to track performance against strategic objectives
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership with clarity and precision.  
  • Communicate status of execution versus strategic objectives to executive management ensuring alignment.

Incentive Design & Administration (Core Focus)

  • Lead annual incentive plan design for Retail Branch and Business Banking, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial objectives
  • Oversee ongoing administration of sales incentive plans, including governance, controls, and change management
  • Partner with business leaders to refine plan constructs (metrics, weightings, thresholds, and payouts) to drive desired behaviors and outcomes
  • Ensure plans are competitive, compliant, scalable, and aligned to market practices

Sales Performance Reporting & Analytics

  • Deliver comprehensive sales performance reporting and analytics to support business decision-making
  • Provide routine and ad hoc reporting packages to sales and production teams, highlighting performance trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Analyze performance versus plan and identify actionable insights to improve results
  • Support business reviews with data-driven storytelling tailored for senior leadership

Strategic Analytics & Decision Support

  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, including measurement of performance vs. plan and recommended corrective actions
  • Develop business cases with financial modeling and data-driven justification

Governance & Controls

  • Establish and maintain strong governance processes around incentive plans, including documentation, approvals, and audit readiness
  • Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in incentive design, incentive compensation administration, and sales performance analytics
    • Demonstrated experience supporting dynamic sales environments
    • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in performance measurement, financial modeling, and reporting
    • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex data into executive-ready insights

Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree (MBA or related field)
    • Experience leading end-to-end incentive plan strategy, design, and governance at scale
    • Familiarity with compensation platforms and reporting tools
    • Experience working in highly regulated financial services environments
