The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Housing Construction Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading nonprofit organization in Buffalo, NY focused on community development. This agency provides housing services, financial counseling, and assistance programs to support individuals and families in achieving stable, affordable housing. It works closely with local partners to address housing needs, promote financial empowerment, and strengthen neighborhoods. The organization is committed to accessibility, advocacy, and improving quality of life across the community.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting residential construction and rehabilitation projects to ensure quality, compliance, and timely completion. You will coordinate with contractors, conduct site inspections, and monitor project progress while ensuring adherence to budgets, safety standards, and housing regulations. Skills & Experience
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years experiences OR associate’s degree + 4 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in housing construction, rehabilitation, or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of all phases of residential housing building systems (structural, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Ability to supervise contractors.
  • Valid NYS driver's license
  • Reliable transportation and adequate insurance coverage
