Job Summary
Holiday Inn Garland is looking for a dependable, hands-on, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to help lead the housekeeping team and maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the hotel. This role is responsible for supervising room attendants and housemen, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, supporting daily operations, and helping ensure the hotel is clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including room attendants, housemen, and public area cleaning
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, hallways, restrooms, lobby, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met
  • Help assign daily boards and ensure team members complete work efficiently and correctly
  • Monitor room status and coordinate with the front desk on clean, dirty, inspected, and out-of-order rooms
  • Train, retrain, and coach housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, presentation standards, and productivity expectations
  • Ensure proper cleaning of guest rooms, including bathrooms, beds, floors, furniture, and high-touch areas
  • Check for maintenance issues, damage, missing items, and safety concerns, and report them promptly
  • Follow up on special cleaning projects, deep cleans, and daily priority areas
  • Help maintain cleanliness and presentation of lobby, breakfast area, public restrooms, elevators, and meeting space as needed
  • Ensure housekeeping carts, storage rooms, linen rooms, and supply areas remain clean, stocked, and organized
  • Monitor linen usage, guest supplies, and cleaning chemicals, and report shortages
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper or management team with scheduling, task follow-up, and shift coverage
  • Step in and assist with cleaning rooms or public areas when needed
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and respectful communication among team members
  • Help ensure hotel service scores and guest satisfaction remain strong through consistent room cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Follow all hotel safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and company policies

Qualifications
  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
