Job description

#jobalert | FULL-TIME | DRYWALL ESTIMATOR | SPECIALTY CONTRACTOR | Savannah, GA area

A well-established interior specialty contractor with a growing Southeast footprint is adding a Drywall Estimator to its Savannah, GA area office. The company serves healthcare, multifamily, and hospitality across a regional radius, handling new construction and renovation. This office manages over $20 million in annual contracts and is on a rapid growth path, opening new regional offices each year. For a strong estimator who wants to own pre-construction for a real book of work and grow into a senior role inside a low-turnover, high-autonomy culture, this is a legitimate opportunity.

  • Anticipated $85,000–$110,000, based on experience
  • Performance-based bonus — paid on individual and company results
  • Full suite of benefits: Health/Dental/Vision (company pays a portion of premiums), PTO
  • 401(k) with company-funded safe harbor contribution
  • Flexible schedule and high-autonomy work environment

Overview:

  • Own the pre-construction cycle for the Savannah office — site surveys, takeoffs, bid assembly, and coordination with the main pre-con team
  • Review plans and specs to develop accurate material and labor estimates
  • Attend site walks for renovation and new construction bids; photograph and document field conditions
  • Price change orders and support project teams with budget tracking through construction
  • Build and maintain subcontractor relationships for competitive pricing
  • Partner with the main office estimating division on complex or large-scale bids

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 5–7 years of commercial construction estimating experience — required
  • Proficiency in OST (On-Screen Takeoff) and QuickBid — required, no exceptions
  • Background in drywall, interior framing, flooring, sheathing, or roofing estimating — required
  • Healthcare, multifamily, or hospitality project experience
  • Non-union commercial construction environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a meaningful advantage
