United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership with multiple locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas New Mexico. United Ag & Turf serves customers in a variety of industries such as commercial, construction, agricultural, as well as, consumers. United Ag & Turf strives for exceptional customer experience throughout all our locations and departments including parts, sales, service, and transportation.
Purpose:
Sells new and used agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment to new and existing customers.
Responsibilities
The following are essential functions of this position:
  • Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
  • Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
  • May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Education, Experience and Requirements
  • One- year prior equipment sales experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial equipment.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load functions such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports

This position requires various physical demands that are necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands; reach with hand and arms; and talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to sit, walk, climb, balance, and tolerate extreme outdoor conditions. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
