Responsibilities

As a software engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. We're looking for an experienced developer like you with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production-ready. 

This role is more than just coding. As a software engineer at EverWatch, you'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

Qualifications

You Have: 

  • 5+ years in software engineering
  • Experience with WebSockets for real-time data handling and interactive features
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservice architecture
  • Experience creating and managing SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Experience with OCI-compliant containers and container orchestration such as Docker, Podman or Kubernetes
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and status updates to peers and management
  • Ability to work well with a small team on fast-paced development and operational projects
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Software Engineering, or Engineering  

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with Joint Intelligence Coordination Detachments (JICD)
  • Experience with Area of Operation Collection Officers (AOCO)
  • Experience with Python 3.12, asyncio and pydantic libraries
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for productions systems

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $72.12 to $84.14 per hour.  The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch's total compensation package for employees.
