One common challenge in hourly payroll training is accurately tracking and inputting varying shift times, overtime, and breaks, which can lead to errors if not carefully managed. New employees may also find it challenging to understand different payroll systems and compliance requirements, such as wage laws and company-specific policies. To overcome these challenges, it's helpful to ask clarifying questions during training sessions, utilize available reference materials, and practice using the payroll software in a test environment. Collaborating with experienced team members and seeking feedback can also help new hires build confidence and accuracy in their payroll processing tasks.
