Position Purpose:
We are searching for an experienced, motivated, and dependable Kitchen Manager to have full oversight and ensure smooth operation of the THB kitchen. The Kitchen Manager will have responsibility for all kitchen functions, including, but not limited to, food purchasing, receiving, and preparation, equipment maintenance, quality standards, safety, sanitation, cleanliness and staffing. If you are organized, reliable, and have at least one year of experience in a high-volume kitchen, then you may thrive as a Kitchen Manager in this fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
Keep the kitchen area clean and safe, monitoring compliance with all regulatory standards
Maintain responsibility for ordering food products according to set par levels. Ensure that goods are received accurately and in proper condition
Control food cost by following proper usage standards and ensuring appropriate quantity of products removed from storage areas; follow product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures including checking and maintaining proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs

Jump in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
Requirements:
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Minimum 1+ year high volume kitchen experience
Kitchen management experience preferred but not required
Basic computer skills preferred but not required
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Working Conditions:
This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment with access to kitchen equipment in tight quarters
Slip resistant shoes are the standard for the team
Warm and humid conditions (oven and boiler) to be expected for long durations
Physical Activity:
Must have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs) are also required.
