Digital Content Editor 3018

  • Hourly pay: $45-$60/hr
  • Worksite: Leading music streaming company (Remote, open for candidates located in the United States. Candidates in the Eastern Time Zone are preferred).

  • 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

A leading music streaming company seeks a Digital Content Editor to support the daily operations of its digital content platform, creating, optimizing, publishing, and maintaining engaging editorial content across entertainment, music, sports, podcasts, news, and programming while leveraging SEO and AI-assisted workflows to maximize audience reach.

Digital Content Editor Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, optimize, publish, and maintain digital editorial content across music, entertainment, sports, podcasts, news, and programming while identifying timely content opportunities and transforming interviews, transcripts, press materials, and programming updates into engaging stories.
  • Manage the complete WordPress publishing workflow, including formatting, tagging, metadata, imagery, scheduling, internal linking, SEO optimization, quality assurance, evergreen content updates, and routine CMS troubleshooting.
  • Apply SEO best practices and AI-assisted workflows to optimize headlines, title tags, meta descriptions, URLs, search intent, content structure, and discoverability while maintaining editorial accuracy.
  • Monitor entertainment news, search trends, and audience behavior while creating recurring promotional content, tracked links, and editorial assets, and collaborating with Programming, Marketing, PR, Promotions, Sports, Music, and other teams to support campaigns, launches, and breaking news.
  • Perform pre- and post-publication quality assurance, manage multiple concurrent editorial requests, and ensure published content, links, images, metadata, and calls to action are accurate, current, and functioning properly.

Digital Content Editor Qualifications:

  • Professional experience creating digital editorial content, preferably within entertainment, music, sports, media, or pop culture.
  • Experience with WordPress or a comparable content management system.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and headline-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO, including keyword research, search intent, title tags, meta descriptions, URL structure, internal linking, content freshness, and on-page optimization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using LLMs and generative AI tools within professional content workflows.
  • Ability to effectively use AI-assisted tools for research, transcript analysis, content ideation, drafting, summarization, and SEO optimization.
  • Familiarity with Google Search, digital publishing, and news and trend cycles.
  • Ability to write, edit, and publish high-quality content quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to identify newsworthy topics, interviews, quotes, and content opportunities with audience and search potential.
  • Experience sourcing and preparing editorial imagery using approved digital assets and image libraries.

Shift:

  • 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
