Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of various electrical systems, including but not limited to medium and low voltage power distribution systems, facility lighting designs, grounding, fire alarm, and data/communications within industrial manufacturing and utility infrastructure spaces.
Responsibilities:
  • Project Support:
    • Oversee projects from conceptual design through completion, working with other engineers and design team members
    • Perform project site visits which include client interaction meetings as well as gathering field data required for the project design
    • Perform electrical engineering calculations utilizing various engineering software platforms
    • Layout and design of medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems
    • Interact with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) throughout the design process
    • Layout and design of facility lighting and lighting system controls
    • Special Systems (Fire Alarm, Data/Communications, CCTV, etc) design, layout, and vendor coordination
    • Design systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC - NFPA70)
  • Collaboration: Work independently but be quick to ask questions and draw upon the best internal, customer, and industry resources to meet customer requirements accurately and efficiently. Build and maintain healthy, long term, professional relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Maintain excellent composure, especially under pressure.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively in person and in writing to keep customers, contractors, and project teams well informed of pertinent information in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility for filling in gaps in customer communication.
  • Innovation: Foster an environment where new ideas are discussed and developed collaboratively. They will help others overcome resistance to change. The candidate will be dedicated to creating solutions to customers' problems.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in the Electrical Engineering field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of industrial manufacturing facilities and utility infrastructure spaces. You possess a Professional Engineering (PE) license or are willing to pursue obtaining your PE.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using engineering tools and software:
    • AutoCAD and REVIT is essential, but not required
    • Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards
    • Working knowledge of electrical engineering software platforms (SKM, EasyPower, etc)
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.
  • Location: Evansville, IN

Travel: Occasional project related trips.
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $95,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
