Summary
Under direct supervision of the Bender Area Installation Supervisor, the Installation Technician, Tube and Wire Forming Products is critical to ensuring our CNC tube bending machines are properly configured, installed, and ready for operation. The technician will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for hands-on work, preferably with prior experience with CNC Tube Bending, Wire Bending and/or End Forming processes.
Essential Functions
The duties listed below are the specific duties and tasks that someone in this position must accomplish. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the level and/or class of this position.
Assemble and configure the mechanical components of CNC tube bending machines according to specifications, including basic to intermediate wiring of electrical components.
Install CNC tube bending machines at customer sites, ensuring all components are properly set up and operational.
Accurately document the installation process, including configurations, adjustments, and any issues encountered.
Mount and secure tooling to the machine, ensuring proper alignment, set-up, and functionality.
Identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during installation, providing effective solutions.
Communicate effectively with customers during the installation process, providing clear instructions and addressing any questions or concerns.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Other duties as assigned by management.
