Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks across diverse projects, including new construction, remodeling, and restoration work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in carpentry techniques, operate hand and power tools safely, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills across multiple facets of construction while supporting projects from framing to finishing.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
  • Perform framing tasks using wood, metal studs, and other materials, ensuring structural integrity.
  • Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, siding, and trim with precision.
  • Execute concrete forming, masonry, roofing, and stucco applications as required.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including caulking, plastering, flooring installation, tile laying, and electrical work.
  • Assist with water damage restoration, mold remediation, and other specialized restoration projects.
  • Support fabrication and assembly of custom components using woodworking or CNC machinery.
  • Conduct heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Read and follow schematics for rebar installation, plumbing, electrical wiring, or metal stud framing.
  • Participate in remodeling projects by performing demolition, surface preparation, painting, and finishing work.
  • Support the installation of siding, roofing materials, fixtures, and hardware as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site to ensure safety and efficiency.

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction estimating and blueprint reading.
  • Proficiency with hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws).
  • Knowledge of various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, cabinetry installation, and door hanging.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols.
