The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and programming milling machines, turning lathes, and multi-axis machines within a small team focused on producing high-precision aerospace parts. This role demands expertise in machine setup, tool calibration, and quality inspection to ensure parts meet exact specifications. The machinist will take full programming responsibility and work closely with the team to optimize processes and maintain safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC machines for production runs, including tool calibration and fixture setup
  • Operate milling machines, turning lathes, and multi-axis machines
  • Interpret and execute CNC programs with full programming responsibility
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement tools to verify part accuracy
  • Read and analyze blueprints to ensure part specifications are met
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
  • Handle materials efficiently and maintain organized work areas
