Position: Sales Representative.
Summary:ย  This position is primarily responsible for the market development and growth of our POPCAKE COMMERCIAL & ASHWOODโ€™S business through a combination of sales prospecting & sales presentations, proprietary equipment placement, customer training and follow-up account management.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
  • From a qualified list of prospects, researching and identifying key opportunities, developing individual target accounts, establishing initial customer contacts, delivering over-the-phone and online sales presentations & product demonstrations with all key decision makers (Hotel General Managers, Executive chefs, F&B Directors, Purchasing managers etc.)
  • Processing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, and through outbound calling to known and approved customers to grow our installed base of over 12,000 hotel, airline-lounge, and Foodservice accounts globally.
  • Closing sales and placement of Free-on-loan (FOL) equipment, commissioning of the related equipment (Pancake machines, warmers, Jam dispensers, honey displays), and training chefs and F&B operators on how best to present and use our products.
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly results in line with the Companyโ€™s annual sales quotas
  • In a disciplined manner maintain all customer data and record relevant customer contact activity in the Companyโ€™s CRM.
  • Typical Customers: Marriott hotels, Hilton hotels, Choice hotels, Wyndham hotels, independent hotels & hotel management groups, Airline lounges, Education (Schools, Colleges), Casinos, Healthcare (Assisted living), and all suitable food service operators specifically specializing in the Buffet breakfast space.
  • Networking within the Hotel, Hospitality, and Food & Beverage industries, proactively using LinkedIn to develop relationships, build networks and drive overall business development.
Education:
A four-year degree is โ€œhighly regardedโ€ (not mandatory) however, an associate degree with 3-4 years of relative experience will also be favorably considered.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years in industry related sales field is required
  • Proven sales experience with a demonstrable track record of success.
Compensation:ย 
  • $60,000 base salary, with the ability to earn $40,000+ย paid commission
  • Participation in the Company medical benefits plan.
  • 401k eligibility after 90 days of service
  • Annual PTO of two (2) weeks paid vacation, plus 5-6 additional days of PTO between Christmas and New Yearโ€™s each December
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint a minimum)
  • Proficient with web-based presentation tools.
  • Experience with working with Salesforce.com, Zoho or similar CRM platforms
Other Requirements:
  • On occasion, the ability to travel overnight for strategically important out-of-area sales calls or follow-up on existing accounts if needed.
  • Strong and commanding phone presence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize time efficiently & effectively.
