As a General Maintenance Technician, you will support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety to meet White Lodging, Brand, and Guest standards.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
  • Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
  • Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
  • Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
  • Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
  • Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
  • At least one year of maintenance experience required.
