We are looking for a Engineering Supervisor  to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.

Set to open its doors in early 2026, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 170 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand’s flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality. Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel.

Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

Under the general guidance of the Assistant Director of Engineering, the Engineering Supervisor is responsible for performing preventive and ongoing maintenance throughout the hotel, back-of-house, and retail areas. The Engineering Supervisor must be proficient in multiple building trades including electrical, painting, carpentry, industrial plumbing, HVAC, kitchen appliances, swimming pools, and general mechanics. This role ensures all essential maintenance functions are performed and inspects major equipment and mechanical/electrical rooms to guarantee they are clean, well-marked, secure, and in excellent working order.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
  • Conduct daily property walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs.
  • Manage maintenance tracking systems (e.g., HotSOS, Nuvola).
  • Troubleshoot and repair lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Repair mechanical equipment including HVAC units, chillers, pumps, boilers, cooling towers, and energy management systems.
  • Work safely with electrical systems ranging from low to medium voltage.
  • Operate lifts and climb ladders to access elevated work areas.
  • Troubleshoot electrical controls, lighting dimming, motor controls, and UPS systems.
  • Respond to fire alarms and life safety system alerts, coordinating with engineering staff for resolution.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance and service requests.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance program to ensure timely completion and proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure engineering support for service issues.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  • Assist other employees and departments to support overall hotel performance.
