Job description

Job Summary:
The Yardley Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is a high volume and fine dining restaurant seeking experienced and team-oriented candidates for the Host/Hostess position. This is a Part-Time position. Candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
  • Estimate wait times for guests and review guest waiting list.
  • While guests are waiting, make sure they are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times.
  • Responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.
  • When table is available, host/hostess escorts the guests to the dining room.
  • Once seated, host/hostess ensures to fill the drink order and give the information to the responsible food server.
